SCS undertook a Bike Ride from Liverpool – Leeds and back again on the 22nd July 2020 in aid of a close friend and colleague, Kate Hutchinson. We managed to raise over £22,000 which Kate and her family decided to invest in a Camper Van to spend some precious time together, before sadly passing away in the October.

Here at SCS we are aiming to reduce our Carbon Footprint, we are doing this by Switching our Company Car Fleet to Hybrid or Fully Electric Vehicles. WE have also installed Electric Charing points at Head Office to support the new change in Energy Efficient Mobility.

SCS joined Grahams Construction on their recent Volunteering Day with the Canal & River Trust. As a part of everyone’s responsibility to the community, they prepped and resurfaced a section of the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal.

On the 29th October SCS attended the Macmillan Charity Ball at York Race Course. The Event has raised £130,000 for Macmillan.

As part of our continued commitment to support The Willow Foundation SCS Building Solutions have Donated £600 towards a silver leaf on the Hope and Memories Willow Tree in loving memory of our dearest friend Kate Hutchinson. The silver leaf goes towards funding a special Break for a young person who is suffering from cancer, so they can take the opportunity to spend some much needed time with loved ones.
