The Manchester Airports Group (MAG) investment in the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme entwined with Laing O’ Rourke enabled full package works to be undertaken on;
Pier 1 and link bridge: Partitions and Ceilings
Terminal 2 extension: Ceilings, GRG feature work and SFS floors.
Pier 2 stub:Partitions and Ceiling
We were responsible for the extension to Manchester Airport’s Terminal 2, including works to the forecourt and baggage hall, as well as detailed elements to the new 216-metre Pier 2.
The terminal was handed over to Manchester Airports Group (MAG) in March 2020 on time and within budget that was delivered despite the myriad of obstacles faced, from Brexit uncertainty to a global pandemic.
The internal partitions were formed using British Gypsum products. The ceilings and acoustic baffles and rafts were installed via SAS International utilising their system 130, 150, 205, 330, 500 and 600 products.
We also formed elliptical, curved and straight floating GRG bulkheads and casts with MF framing to the client’s requirements.
