Victoriagate Shopping Centre.
SCS completed the award-winning Victoria Gate Shopping Centre and John Lewis Store in Leeds, in partnership with Sir Robert McAlpine. The elegantly designed two-street arcade is home to 30 high end stores, restaurants, cafes and a casino, all of which is linked to the City’s existing Victoria Quarter. The full development consisted of 42,000m2 retail and leisure and also houses a flagship five floor, 21,000m2 John Lewis store.

The overall elaborate design resulted in a complex and intricate build that resulted in a stunning finish.
SCS were assigned with the installation of curved and faceted internal SFS forming the shop fronts and balconies, with an acoustic render finish to the mall side.
The acoustic render then received 3D faced diamonds, shields and pendants in varying form and sizes.
A jumbo-sized circular partition wall formed a fantastic, curved funnel feature that is the centrepiece of the casino.
Internal partitions, drylining, suspended ceilings firestopping works were undertaken to the back of house areas.
Specifications and manufacturers that formed the process were Kingspan SFS, Knauf metal stud and board, ceilings.
The finish was furnished with a StoVentec System, acoustically enhanced with Sto Armat basecoat and Stolit K1.5mm white finish.
